We will be finishing our testing this week. Friday at 9:30 the students of our school will be participating in a jog-a-thon. We are looking for some parent volunteers to assist with counting laps and set-up. If you can help, please call the office and let them know. We would like volunteers to be here at 9am. There are many events planned to help our children understand the importance of remaining drug free. Good Shepherd Lutheran School will be passing out a red wristband on Monday 10-14. Everyday the wristband is worn, a red vine will be awarded. On Tuesday, we will meet on the play yard for a prayer devotion and the children will tie red ribbons around the school. On Wednesday, each student will write a personal pledge on a strip of paper and then each class will make a pledge chain that will be presented at chapel of Thursday. Friday we will have a jog-a-thon. Everyone is encouraged to wear red. Monetary pledges are encouraged to help our school reach a total goal of $300. A letter is being sent home. In addition, each class will be decorating their class door. They will be judged on Friday and the winner announced after the jog-a-thon. Beginning now through December 9th bring in your box tops. The class that collects the most will be rewarded with a party. The top 3 students will win gift certificates. My class, for every 26 box tops you will earn 1 free dress day. All proceeds will go towards additional technology for our school. Chapel 09/14/2011

I am taking appointments for tutoring in any subject and any grade K-8. If your child(ren) attend GSLS, my fee is $25/hour. Any student attending local schools in the area and in need of tutoring, the fee is $30/hour.
